this blog has been passed over for quite some time but then a conversation w/ my wife created an idea to jump start it again.
I was in one of my speculative moods and wondered out loud----, 'suppose we could communicate back & forth with cats'........but my wife, suggested if they could talk, they'd make dreadful companions. she claims they would complain all the time, never be entirely comfortable, etc. I thought this observation coming from a seasoned woman & cat cosettter was pretty significant.

deconstruction--life
recently reading a little of evrything. always enjoy going back to words of 'The Desert Fathers' on the grounds,we suppose they could think, reason with more clarity than we can now. sometimes they lived in the desert, no TV, no cell fones, no cars, just quiet and no one to bother them. but since we kicked this off w/ mention of cats, we all should perhaps take a few moments some time, & watch one wash itself. w/o any other 'evidence' we can suspect they have been doing it, same way, same technique for a very long time.
Finding it helpful to dwell on the notion (my word) of the 'beginning of life.' this train was triggered by the fundamentalists telling us 'that life begins when the egg is fertilized by the sperm or......' recently became interested in where the train went if we postulate 'life' is a long continuous strand reaching back in what we term 'time' to what? Darkness? then of course, comes the wonderful phrase---'In the beginning was the word.....' so all we are left with is our minds and our language. words, words,etc. Languages of all sorts, but what language to the Flemish people speak? Phlem. but i also had to realize that the term 'beginning' as In the.... suggest there was a matter of TIME involved!!! whew!! lately i been supposing Einstein came up with the IDEA of time for his famous work.
if only somebuddy would read one of these & let me know should i find better use for my time?
another thought-----do people who watch cats bathe fall asleep easier,----stay asleep? I'm supposing watching one would be soporific. let me know. often the washing up is not at a convient time for me. the reason for thursday.
(more) a harrowing day today, winter storm dumped an unusually amt of snow sev. days ago. so dint get the car out etc. etc. but the idea is now lodged in my tiny brain---we as a Nation are due for some comeuppance. & all the Kings horses & all the etc. the recent silliness in DC trying to get a bill passed, health care The media did all in its power to confuse things, etc. but this pt. of my point, when the meteor is heading our way we'll face REAL trouble. the rds will be jammed w/ people instructed to stay home, etc.
we are informed that when th airbus was due to set down in the hudson, passengers were advised to get ready, bend fwd,protect their heds, but later observers mentioneed seeing passengers peering out the windows, etc.
